Properly Constituted

What does this mean? You need to have a Chairman (Chairperson or Chair if you prefer), Secretary, and Treasurer. You also need to have Rules or a Constitution. If you don't have either, FERAA can let you have a 'model' constitution and you can pick the parts of it that are appropriate for you.


Affiliation is available to any properly constituted body of residents in the London Borough of Enfield which does not have a party political bias. Affiliated associations pay 10p per member household, with a minimum of £10.00 and a maximum of £35.00.

Information for Applicants

Member households

Please let us know how many households were members of your Association last year. This enables us to know how many households FERAA represents. The figure is also used to work out your subscription.


We need to know details for the positions of Chairman (Chair or Chairperson if you prefer), Secretary and Treasurer (or their equivalent in your organisation). There is room for four officers on the form, but if you wish to put more then just add them on a separate sheet. Please keep us up to date with any changes.

Key contact

We ask you to nominate one of the officers who is willing for their details to be given out to third parties such as potential members or official organisations. Please make sure that this officer signs to give their consent. You can specify exactly what information is given out to enquirers.


Your association is entitled to send up to three delegates to each general meeting of FERAA. Any member is welcome to attend – the delegates do not necessarily have to be officers.


This is based on 10p per member household during the previous year, with a minimum payment of £10.00 and a maximum payment of £35.00. The subscription is for the calendar year and is payable by 30th April. Please enclose a cheque made payable to FERAA with your application.


Please tell us on a separate sheet the area that your association covers. This can be a road, a list of roads, or the roads or other features that form the boundary of the area.


If you have rules or a constitution, please enclose a copy for our records.
